This bunad or Norwegian national costume has a long gathered black wool skirt of black wool with three rows of red ribbon around hem. There is a waist-length bodice of red wool with a “V” neck opening to a belted waist. There is ribbon around the neck and arm openings. The red breastplate has an upper border of black satin and is embroidered with beads in a geometric pattern. The red cap is embroidered in same fashion as the breastplate, and ties under the chin with a red ribbon.
