He was married in late 1859 or early 1860 to Turi Larsdatter Trøos (1845-1937). Two children. Civil War: Age 24. Enlisted 29 Sep 1864. Mustered 29 Sep 1864. Private. Served in both Indian and Civil wars. Died 6 Aug 1864 at Pine Island, Goodhue County, Minnesota. His name had been erroneously printed "Fadland", reported Lt. Col.
