Sick at Duval’s Bluff, Arkansas, 29 Aug 1863. On detached service in Wisconsin 13 Aug 1864. On 29 Oct 1864, Sergeant Isaacsen is shown as rejoining Company H from detached service in Wisconsin. Promoted to First Sergeant on 6 Jul 1865. Mustered out with company on 29 Aug 1865 at Brownsville, Texas. On 25 Sep 1865, he was given a commission as a Brevet (honorary) Second Lieutenant. ISAACSON, Isaac

Enlisted for three years on 9 Dec 1861 at Pine Lake, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, the next day. Private. Sick in Nashville 26 Dec 1862, and left behind in the convalescent camp of the 1st Division. Disappeared from Nashville on 26 Jul 1864 and was listed as a deserter after 2 Aug 1864 but it may have been that he had been transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corp on 15 Feb 1864. Discharged from the service 4 Sep 1865. Post war: Moved in 1868 to Holmes City township, Douglas County, Minnesota. The 1890 Veterans and Widows Census shows him living at Holmes City.
