Came as an infant with his parents, aboard the “Hercules”, from Bergen reaching Newe York on 30 Jul 1844. Civil War: Farmer. Age 19. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 2 Nov 1861 in Green County. Mustered 8 Dec 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Left sick in hospital at Mississippi River Island No. 10, 11 Jun 1862. Became unfit for service. Discharged from the service for disability at Camp near Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on 9 Apr 1863, by order of Major General Rosecrans. Post war: Lived at Blanchardville, Wisconsin. Married 1868 to Elizabeth Sandsmark (Died 1870). Married on 22 Dec 1873 to Inger Johannesdatter Hansen. Bryngel died 8 Sep 1908 and was buried in York Memorial Lutheran Cemetery, Green County. This man may have returned to the service in 1864 to WI 46th Inf Co A as “Severson, Bringel”. See him.
